This work is the result of my personal dialogue with an eternal image. I painted it not as a canonical icon, but as a pictorial exploration, attempting to find something personal and profound in familiar features.
Here, not only the facial features are important, but also the texture of the brushstrokes, the play of light and shadow that can only be created by hand, on canvas. Each brushstroke is a reflection, a search for form and emotion. I wanted to convey not so much grandeur as humanity, empathy, and the quiet strength that emanates from this gaze through the ages.
This is my attempt to understand and express the immensity through the language of painting.
